Mark Stewart & The Maffia -
As The Veneer Of Democracy Starts To Fade

I had previously recorded Boom! Tune of the Day daily on Instagram, so I'll be recycling some of those tunes, as well as digging for new ones... enjoy!

Mark Stewart & The Maffia "As The Veneer Of Democracy Starts To Fade" (Original  Boom! Tune of the Day from November 7, 2017)

Today's Boom! Tune of the Day is "As The Veneer Of Democracy Starts To Fade" by Mark Stewart & The Maffia, from the 1985 Mute Records LP, As The Veneer Of Democracy Starts To Fade.

For the second album from The Pop Group's Mark Stewart, The Maffia consisted of Doug Wimbish, Skip McDonald and Kieth LeBlanc aka Tackhead or Sugarhill Records rhythm section. On this album, the group combined industrial-funk hip-hop beats with Adrian Sherwood's signature dub-reggae infused production and Mark's manic vocal stylings.
