Today's Boom! Tune of the Day is "Punky Reggae Party" by Bob Marley & The Wailers, from the 1977 Jamming / Punky Reggae Party 7" single on Island Records.

This tune found the band reuniting with producer, Lee "Scratch" Perry and was written after the U.K. Punk "explosion" of 1977 when Marley saw an affinity with the purveyors of this new brand of "Rebel Music."
