Lee "Scratch" Perry & The Upsetters "Cloak & Dagger"

Lee "Scratch" Perry & The Upsetters - Cloak And Dagger (1972 Upsetter / Black Art)

I had previously recorded Boom! Tune of the Day daily on Instagram, so I'll be recycling some of those tunes, as well as digging for new ones... enjoy!

Can "Bel Air" (Original Boom! Tune Of The Day September 6, 2017).

Today's Boom! Tune of the Day is "Cloak & Dagger" by Lee "Scratch" Perry & The Upsetters, from the 1972 Upsetter LP, Cloak And Dagger.

This one is an early seventies excursion into version by the late, Mighty Upsetter, who's genius mere words could never do justice to, and who's legacy and influence on the future of music are evidence that he will live on, infinitely.

For more insight as to the life and a glimpse of the great man's magic at work, see the 2008 film, The Upsetter: The Life And Music Of Lee Scratch Perry.
